About Us

We are Asheville’s Roller Derby League!
Founded in June of 2006, Blue Ridge Roller Derby make up Asheville, NC’s first flat track roller derby league. We are a member of the official Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and follow WFTDA’s motto, “by the skaters, for the skaters.”

Blue Ridge Roller Derby values diversity, inclusivity and equity within our league, our sport, and our community. BRRD is committed to stewardship of the local communities that our league members call home. In addition to community driven goals, it is our mission to foster competitive gameplay and to develop athletes with the physical stamina and mental strength to reach their personal and team goals.
